I have a 99 Arctic cat ZL 600, rod went through the front and I cant find parts to fix it. What other motors can fit in there with out alot of BS? The motor in there now (how I bought it) is a 2000 powder special 600 with the attac system on it. I would prefer to just change the blown one with another one insteed of trying to rebiuld this one, cause I dont know what other damage has been done on the bottom. This is a mint sled and would like to fix it as I cant get any money out of it as it sits. Any help would be great, THANKS....:d And if anyone who is reading this has a motor that would work, and wants to sell it, please let me know.. Thanks again.

Any motor will fit, but you may have to finesse it in there. Find a motor from a similar chassis in about the same year and model and the displacement you want to run and stick it in. If you want a 600 again, get another one. If you wanted to go bigger, then find an 800 twin from a cat and slide it in there. You will need all the electrics, pipes, etc for the new motor, and you will likely need new motor mounts or a plate to bolt up to the existing frame if you do this. Nothing that can't be overcome with a little ingenuity and a few questions asked. There are lots of guys on here that have done this type of thing before, key is to find a motor and start asking questions.
