Electronic Removal

[BDF#900]

Removed the headlight on my 09 M 1000 and the tach goes wacky at full throttle. Anyone else experience this and what was remedy? Would also like to know if it is possible remove instrument cluster completely?

I have heard that you have to install a resistor on the M-series to put a load on the system. I have no idea where you would get one. I have been thinking of putting a lexan hood with no light on my 1M, but I might have the same problem.

Not a problem on 1M, removed more than one no issues. Bought headlight delete there, would have nice of Mr. Bill to mention that.

Picked up resistor today. $100, came in Boondockers packaging with minimal directions other than locate lighting coil and attach to red wire. Just a 100watt - 2 ohm resistor, sure a person could buy cheaper if they shopped around automotive electronic places.
