I may be interested. Havent had the 800 Crossfire out in a couple of years. Be good to burn some gas in it.

on the south end of town, take the road East. there is a Water Fill Station there to stage (done so many times) see pic attached.

This is the start of the Iron Horse Trail, it is 83 KM approx to Ashmont, Fuel is easy in Speden, no need for fuel can.

8:30 AM I will be at the Water Fill Station, Depart at 8:45 if no one is there at 8:30

780-293-2866 if you need to text / call

Made it to Vilna today. Needs more snow for sure. But trail was fairly smooth. Might have gone further had it been warmer.

Sounds good. Where is the staging area in Waseteau?

There is also a staging area right in town along the railway tracks.
From highway 28, drive into Waskatenau. Continue right down main street till you come to the stop sign at the T-intersection (railway tracks), turn right (west) and in a couple hundred feet and you will see a sign "Iron Horse Staging Area" on you left. There you will find a small parking area and a ramp.

You have to drive your sled east on the shoulder of the road for about 1/4 mile to where the Iron Horse starts.

Has anyone been on the Iron Horse lately? Thinking of a day trip soon starting in Smokey Lake. Thanks!
