Has anyone ever have an issue with the power commanders?I have one on a 09 m1000 with the slp kit on it and it leaned out the pto side 3 times last year( under 15 minutes run time each time).I had close to 800 miles on the complete kit without so much as a fouled plug so I'm starting to suspect the power commander because everything else has been changed out.So I'm thinking about installing a boon docker and was wondering how hard will it be to switch out since slp downloaded all the fuel mapping when I bought the kit! Also which is the best pyro to run!On my old machines(pre efi) I always ran digitrons. My mechanic said there was no need for one with the power commander I believed him till it squeaked the second time!

I won't mention the place that was doing the work we're still discussing the rebuild bills yet!

Went riding in Revy on the weekend, sled started bogging a km or two up the trail. Seemed like water or ice in the fuel. Unsure what to do at the time we unplugged the PC5 and the sled ran fine again. The confusing part is I got two days riding last weekend without a hiccup. And two days riding without it this weekend, no problems. Now what do i do try another map? Plug it back in and cross my fingers?

Mine ran fine for close to 800 miles then started running like crap.Thought it was fuel but pulled plugs and electrodes were gone on pto clyinder.Very little scoring so put in new plugs and better octane fuel and never missed a beat for couple tanks then took pto cylinder completely out.Mag side was untouched but pto was leaned right out.Shop puts new piston and jug on without doing crank seals and new piston on other side and it ran perfect for about ten minutes then completely destroys pto side again.Completely rebuild engine, new seals pistons and new jug again and 10 minutes later takes out pto side again! That was with at least 50 50 race blend in the tank!I think its the PC and I want to put a Boondocker on but shop doesn't think its the PC but I'm not sure what else it could be!I was convinced that I didn't need a pyro but I should have installed one anyways for all the good it would have did if its the power commander screwing up!Any help would be great!!

I've never trusted someone else's map, threyre okay to start out with, but have always went and had them checked on a dyno....

Now we have a 2010 800 with the full SLP pipe and air set up, with the PC5 and auto tune and it' works great, so haven't but it on the dyno...

You will get it running a bit off on start up because when this set up was installed they didn't put a shut off switch into the circuit allowing you back to the base map, so when it starts up it's running on the last adjustments made....But it only take a few minutes and it makes the adjustments from the new inputs.
