i would just drop to a nine, any other gearing down can be done easily and cheaply by changing your sprockets. and chain

What are you running for gears, I would either stay with the 10 tooth or 9 if you can't don't go any smaller.

what are you doing this on ?? an older xlt? just noticed name

i have a buddy whos moddin his old xlt i think its a 94 or something but he needs to find a way to lift the front end up ...(with longer track sleds nose goes further down and plows)

hes thought of ways but not with out creating a major weak spot

sry dude dont mean to steal your post but if by chance you do have same style of sled you might have an idea or someone else might know

i stretched a 2001 800 summit from 144 to 159 and had to do nothing just rebuilt both clutches at the same time and redid top end it was enough.

extend the spindles... you should be able to extend them at least a couple of inches
