If you follow this websites informative posts it is Polaris followed distantly by Doo, AC and Yamaha. This has been confirmed by reliable Polaris sources on this site.....

Not trying to fuel this fire, but I think if you we're to look at the North American Mountain sled Market it would be Polaris, then cat or maybe Doo, then Yamaha.

Doo has probably gained the some market share in 2012 and 13, taking business mostly from Cat and and maybe a little from Polaris, but I think my listing above would fairly close based upon a NA Market standpoint

polaris has owned the mountain segment since 2011, when the pro rmk outsold every other model in all segments of snowmobiles including trail sleds. of every 10 mountain sleds sold in 2012, 4 of them were polaris. they have (as of 2012 model year) 42% of market share, the mountain segment represents an estimated 30% of total worldwide sales.

found all this info and more on google. it really is awesome.

the mountain segment is so small, compared to overall sled sales. the numbers international wouldn't be much more .

I would'nt wager money on numbers but I did read in Snow Tech magazine in early 2012 that Poo sold more 2011 pro's and RMK's than any other sled in any segment.

To slow Teeroy beat me to it

we'll have to wait until summer and see what the 2013 model year was like. look thru the forums on here and snowest, lots of guys jumping to doo and cat from polaris because of the pro rmk reliability issues. not bashin'....just what I'm reading.

That might be true, but when I look on Snowest forum there are usually twice as many guys looking at the Polaris Pro threads as there are looking at Cat and Doo. Still think the Polaris is the most popular mountain sled out there!

Or they are reading up on the countless problem threads trying to figure out how to fix their own junk or deciding if they should buy one or not.
