So looking into joining DIRECT BUY and was wondering what people have experienced with them???

I know they want a $6,000.00 up front fee to join which last 3 years then you just pay $400.00 a year after that

Can you actually recover this initial $6,000.00 joining fee in savings when you buy from them???

Pros & Cons

Thanks

The only way you can recover the buyin is if you are building a new house or completely redecorating your existing house. Unless of course you are one of those people who normally spend thousands of dollars every year on furniture to keep up with the latest styles. Personally I would rather keep up with the latest style of sled but that's just me. lol

We purchased a membership June of 2012 during construction of our new house. We have no regrets as we purchased cupboards, appliances, and lots of furniture. We have saved our membership 5 fold. As mentioned you have to be purchasing quite a bit to save enough. If your the type of person that likes to buy and receive product quickly then you will not like waiting 2weeks to 2 months to receive item as they are ordered from manufacturer. I have no complaints as I was aware of the process via friends that have memberships.

Must have flexible time frame to wait ...........Also we found we couldn't get a lot of items we wanted and ended up buying elsewhere to make contruction time frames. For me it wasn't worth it at all.

a buddy at work here has been a member for 7 years... like said above you must be doing a major purchase and or if you share the savings over the years with family and friends. He is always getting his family things. and doesnt mind doing it for friends.

They have these directbuy exclusives and stuff is like 50-80% off limited quantity I got a $1800 BBQ for $550 came in 2 weeks. They do have a lot of stuff on the site but depends on suplier for availability so can get frustrtating with timing.

good luck

I heard they're a bunch of free loaders. Tell you to go to legitimate businesses that carry the products they sell so you can touch and feel, then ask you to buy from them.
no storefront or knowledgable staff and most of the time you're looking at pictures of what you're going to buy. BS way to run a company if you want my opinion.

The direct buy I joined made it repetitively very clear that you should not be going to brick and mortar stores to see product. They said this is unfair to sales staff and other businesses. I have honoured that request and thanks to the Internet and my ability to read we had great success with all of our cupboards, furniture and appliance purchases? Approx $45,000.

Personally I am turned off by sales staff and prefer to do my own research on products.
