Is it a coincidence the Chief Prosecutor is up on criminal charges for past cases he tried and botched?

I had never heard of the case until this thread, I read into it a little last night and although the interweb is filled with missleading half truthes I tend to think that the fact she was ever charged in the first place given the lack of evidence against her and her boyfriend is scary. they have DNA proof the other guy was there, had sex with her (with a tampon still in place) pretty hard to deny his involvement. Any evidence against her and the boyfriend was circumstancial and weak, the prosecution tried to use that fact that the roomate felt she was a messy person as motive for murder. Maybe I'm missing something in what I'm reading but I can't seem to find any evidence that would suggest her or the boyfriend had anything to do with the rape/murder of this girl.....

There have been many more upsetting aquitals where a truck load of damning evidence was overlooked on the "shadow of a doubt" .....

like you, I did some further reading last night and have to agree the case against her was extremely questionable. I had not realized the DNA evidence was taken under such a method that raised so many questions. Seems that the Italian cops may have taken 4 years of freedom from her but one will never know. I guess the next step is for a major law suit against the Italian police etc etc. This is probably not over yet.
