delorme and spot gps

That would be a sweet setup.
Avy pack is next on my list so this one will have to wait. I'll wait for others to test this as well before I'd buy. Anything that I can use to let my wife know I'm on the right side of the snow would be good. I must not have a great insurance policy :)

Never used a Delorme so not sure how it compares to Garmin.
I'm definitely getting the Spot2 though.

I like the fact that you can send a one way text. I have the spot but you are limited to only the pre set messages. Also the maps for the delorme look awsome, especially the fact you can do satelite imagry. This is the first i have heard of delorme gps. I have always used garmin.

I am looking at the DeLorme w/SPOT, or the 530 and adding a SPOT, but I have a set of motorola 2 ways but am not sure of the power.

Not sure what to do now.

I still like the Rino because of the position reporting when you get separated from friends.
