First things first , throw Blanchette off the debate stage , then tell him to take his province and GTFO of Canada.
Trudeau is an arrogant , entitled , obviously incompetent ass.
Bernier didn’t do as well as I expected.
Elizabeth is a very nice whacko activist who wouldn’t have a clue where to even start
Scheer did far better than I expected, had credible responses.

The moderators did well. Not sure if all women is a statement or coincidence.

Good assessment. I also found Scheer to be the most level headed out of the bunch. I expected Bernier to say more. As for the rest...uninteresting at best

Debate confirmed that Trudeau is a dumbass.
Scheer did alright. Thought he was a bit over the top on his opening tirade against dumbass but other than that he made a lot of good points.
Best line of the night was when Singh pointed to his turban and said he wore it so people could tell who he was. That was after he was called Scheer by Trudeau as well as Dawna Friesen.

Its frustrating watching them debate the C02 lie. They will all
lower taxes. You wanna lower taxes nationalize the bank of Canada. Once we don’t pay interest anymore taxes will be very low. The entire money system is a criminal operation.

Blanchet.... f you Canada this is about Quebec.... well Blanchet f you too.
Mad Max... mad mad madder and not a snowballs chance.
Trudeau.... only had to memorize a few lines and keep spewing his bs.

They all looked like they were in play school fighting over the everything and nothing.
Trudy as usual had his same few rehearsed statements and would not answer questions as per usual

Just gonna watch the debate but listened to the last hour on the radio driving home. Loved Scheers comment to Trudy about running for office in the Ontario provincial election. Hard to hear what they had to say with Trudeau and Mays childish antics. Guess I'll try and read lips the last hour.

Here’s the thing. There is no way to balance a budget by cutting taxes. Cutting foreign aid by 25% is huge. And it should be easy seeings how turd boy was just throwing money around like Derrick hand at a strip club after being in the bush for a month.

Best burn of the night was by Scheer telling Turdeau about his fixation with provincial politics that he should go run for office in Ontario.( Turdeau was hoping to score points by associating Scheer with Doug Ford)

Sounded like a bunch of children squabbling. With the exception of Bernier all of them are big on experience in academia and politics and short on experience in real business.

Bernier was very ineffective and surprisingly not well versed in English last night I thought. Singh pretty much ate him up in an exchange and Scheer put him in his place as well with his comments about who the real Maxine was he was talking to? I thought Scheer handled himself way better than the French debate.

Bernier seemed like the only one that wasn’t caught up in attacking the others for street cred. His English wasn’t good enough to get his points across amongst the squabbling. But when it was his 40 seconds he did well by staying on track for the most part. Scheer’s comment asking which Max is there was funny but pointless. Like people aren’t allowed to ever change.

Scheer reminds me of a 8 year old that knows he did something wrong and has a constant smirk like he got away with it. He seemed more fixated on attacking Trudeau then promoting his platform... oh yeah he doesn’t have a complete one yet. Plus he isn’t believable.

Sing spoke well. That’s all. His ideas are misguided. But he did call Trudeau out very well.

May speaking on climate emergency and looking like she’s going to have a meltdown while doing it was entertaining filler between Trudeau and Scheer pointing fingers at each other.

Trudeau was borderline unwatchable. I don’t think I’ve ever been as annoyed watching someone talk.

All in all Bernier appeared to be the most mature one there. He’s the only one with a clear platform that mathematically makes sense. There was no glamour to his presentation and that says a lot to me. He just wants to talk about the issues which got lost in the “look at me one liners” coming from everyone else. Unlike Scheer, Bernier has no special interest groups to protect.

Agreed , but I think they all have “special interest” groups to deal with if successful , but I think Scheers will best serve our Western Canadian needs. And if Bernier is as ineffective as he was last night when government sits, it certainly did’t look like he’d be a factor , whether his ideas are good or bad.

Debates are all about creating sound-bites.

They don't care if the question is answered. All they want is good 20-30 second sound bites that the media will replay over and over and over. Creative sound bites generate free media coverage. That is what voters tend to remember.

I’m the farthest thing from an ndp supporter, but I gotta say, socialist Singh was the closest thing to adult behavior on the stage. Blanchet didn’t give a rats ass what was going on, and the rest of them just yelled the same thing over and over again over each other. Sad that these goons are the best we could come up with.
