Custom engine tune.

Hi i've got a 04 gmc 2500Hd with the 6.0L gas engine. just curious if anyone has got a custom tune done to there computer and if so how the power and fuel economy worked out.

I remember reading a post on here about a guy out of red deer are that custom tuned computers. I had the same truck and now have a 2010 2500 6.0L and they both burn rich. I get a nice black ring around the tail pipe.

I've done a custom tune to my 2000 7.4 makes quite a difference when towing and works alot better than the superchips programmer I had in it before, with a custom tune you can get rid of the cats and turn off the EGR, the sky is the limit. The next thing i am going to do is get rid of the cappy oem injectors and install some multic 2 injector and make change the fuel map, i have done a few 6L and there is some economy to be gain and some power, you won't see gains like a diesal but they will be noticeable
