06 Crossfire 6.... I have been told I should gut the air box, and will get a bit more "get up and go". How does a person do this? Any pictures of this being done or before and after shots? What is removed? Just trying to get more out of my beast, so any help would be great, Thanks. :d

No gutting a Crossfire 600 airbox. You can get a bigger intake for it. Some of the 800's and 1000's go to the mesh intakes, but the 600 does not respond well to it.

Get yourself part number 1670-315. Slight modification to the aribox to make it fit. Only about $12. Monitor your oil usage and then see if the pump needs to be turned down. Many ran waaay too oil rich. Turning it down has cleaned up the sled a lot.

What is your current clutch setup?

Well then, you have much room for improvement. What is the paddle height of your 144"? Do you have any snow left to do a before and after test?

I beleive the clutch is stock, as I never did anything to it myself, not sure if the previous owner did anything. He didnt seem like the type to have a modded sled though, but you never know. My track is a 144X15X2. As far a the snow... not a speck... not happy about that either. We have new lakes though!!! :d

If you keep your CF 600, contact me in the fall and I'll do some work on your clutches for you.
