Got a sled with a bad cylinder. Low kms on it. Is it ok to replace with new piston and rings and leave the other side alone?

Sounds like a fun guy to ride with! HaHa! Hope you have a sturdy rope with you!Not mine Ken. Friend I towed out a month ago. He asked me if I thought they should do both sides sand I said no so thought I should ask the pros on here lol.
Like I explained to him, on natural gas engines with pistons bigger than his sled we only fix whats broken so that should be ok on his little kitty cat. Think his dealer is a good one. Maybe now he will listen now when I tell him to warm it up. He roles of the truck and boggies up to get to snow before it overheats cause no rear cooler he always has problems. It put him over the bars when it locked. He ran it a year and a half before it wouldn't run anymore.
wheres theres smoke theres fire ... what was the cause or and caused the bad cylinder ??? asking for a FriendGot a sled with a bad cylinder. Low kms on it. Is it ok to replace with new piston and rings and leave the other side alone?
