what compression should i be looking for on a 2010 rmk 800

compression is lower on the 800's with the update head.110-125 is normal as long as they are equal.

running good just got to get the clutching down,not pulling on the top end.

the polaris 800 has low compression. 115 is usually what you see.

how do u kno if you have the updated head? just ask the dealer?

all 2010's come with the low compression head and duel ring pistons.

does it matter if the sled hasnt been ran in a while or if it was just ran? i unloaded my sled from my truck and drove it into the garage and did a test and i was sitting under 100 on each side

start sled and let it run up to operating temp,do a hot test 5 good pulls with wide open throttle.let sled cool down and confirm with a cold test.thought you said earlier it had 110 lbs.

yea last night i tested and it was 110 but my dad informed me this morning that the tester is a little messed up and dosent read accurate , so i retested today with a different one

Yup better pull the exhaust valves and have a look at your pistons.

looking for scoring on the pistons. have never seen low compression on both sides before. usually it is one side verses the other. are you sure you tested it correctly?

well i pulled both plugs, made sure the killswitch was down, put the tester on one side, pulled it three times, read it, took it off and put it on the other side, pulled three times, read it

should pull 5 times with the throttle held wide open. with the sled at operating temperature if you can.
