Color change. Need help/advice/opinions

I have an 08m1000 I'm looking to change the color scheme. I have am idea of what I want done, but, I'm thinking it's impossible... I seen the original 'Ride Rasmussen style' m1000 turbo on kijiji and I seen the front nose cone had been painted/dyed. I emailed the guy asking what had been done to change the color(paint or dye or some other way I don't know of...) but I haven't had a response yet. I was thinking of doing that to mine, but extend the white going right over my side vents. You can see what I'm talking about by clicking the link below and looking at the side view of the sled. Basically all the black will be white, is what I'm going for. Does aaaannnnnyyyyyoooonnnnneeee have any suggestions as to how I can accomplish my idea without having to repaint after every ride : / aha.

What about buying/replacing the parts with white ones?? My E-Tek was white, and now is black...new nose cone and hood and you should be there...

you can paint it, just sand it properly and use a good quality paint along with adhesion promoter and lots of flex agent... but changing the plastic to the correct color if possible is the best way

I didn't think you could buy a nose cone like that :S and I'm pretty sure what I want done with my side panels probably can't be bought either. On the sled in the link, basically right now everything that is white I have black. I wanted to keep my black hood, black side vents, but have white trim where it's black on his, and white nose cone. I'm not the best knowledgable painter either, anywhere you would recommend that could do this for me?

most of your bodyshops in town should be able to do this, its no different than painting the bumpers on vehicles... just maybe mention about adding more flex agent to the paint if ya take it in to them.

a guy in the shop that i work at painted all the plastic on his quad a few yrs ago and it still looks good, other than a few light scratches from trees

Have you tried one of the companies that does sled wraps? They may be able to supply a wrap for the areas you are looking at changing colors.

Yeah I looked, nothing where I want it to be. It's hard to describe what I want done. Aha. But if I manage to do it then I think it would look pretty awesome!

Well, this is my 2nd now, but also have 2 cats and I have always been more comfortable on the Cats. But power and suspension cannot be beat on the doo. I just find it harder to sidehill and carve then the cats. And to be honest, I have never been on an M8...M7 is the closest, so not a great comparison, but I can do things on the Cat I cant do on the doo....The doo is smoking fast and climbs like crazy, and eats bumps/jumps like sittin on the couch so I keep struggling. I just dont get to ride enough...

Have you look at a place like ignition they do Waps they are in calgary Ignition Digital Graphics | Calgary Vehicle Graphics, Signs, Banners, Walls, Murals and more
