Anybody converted from torsions to a coil over in the rear shock? Been wondering about this all summer, thought about trying it out this year, anyone got a good starting point for spring rates, what needs to be done or how-to knowledge?

thx

The rear arms are designed for the torsion springs, they need to be replaced as well as the shocks and springs to a style designed for a coil spring application.

modman i have thought of this as well. Spring rate depends on rider/sled weight obviously. I would think mayby around 150lbs to start was sorta where i was leaning to when thinking about it. As well a slight re-design of the rear swing arm, the spring would hit for most sotck setup. Just look into what a polaris pro uses for a spring and go from there.
