Project Veritas

Project Veritas
is an American far-right[SUP][37][/SUP] activist group founded by James O'Keefe in 2010.[SUP][41][/SUP] The group produces deceptively edited videos[SUP][24][/SUP] of its undercover operations,[SUP][16][/SUP] which use secret recordings[SUP][17][/SUP] to allege misconduct and corruption in mainstream media organizations and progressive groups.[SUP][49][/SUP] Project Veritas uses entrapment[SUP][23][/SUP] to generate bad publicity for its targets,[SUP][2][/SUP] and has propagated disinformation[SUP][14][/SUP] and conspiracy theories[SUP][56][/SUP] in its videos and operations.
Targets of Project Veritas include Planned Parenthood, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), NPR, CNN, and The Washington Post. In 2009, Project Veritas associates published misleading[SUP][2][/SUP] videos that depicted ACORN employees providing advice on concealing illegal activity, causing ACORN to shut down after losing funding;[SUP][5][/SUP] ACORN was cleared of wrongdoing by the Attorney General of California in 2010,[SUP][2][/SUP] and the associates paid a total of $150,000 in settlements to an ACORN employee who sued for defamation.[SUP][2][/SUP] NPR CEO Vivian Schiller resigned in 2013 after Project Veritas released a deceptively[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP] edited video portraying another NPR executive making controversial comments about the Tea Party movement and NPR's federal funding.[SUP][57][/SUP] Project Veritas unsuccessfully attempted to mislead The Washington Post into publishing false information about the Roy Moore sexual misconduct allegations in 2017;[SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][49][/SUP] the Post won a Pulitzer Prize after uncovering the operation.[SUP][18][/SUP][SUP][58][/SUP]
As a non-governmental organization, Project Veritas is financed by conservative fund Donors Trust[SUP][2][/SUP] (which provided over $6.6 million from 2011 to 2019)[SUP][49][/SUP][SUP][59][/SUP][SUP][60][/SUP] and other supporters including the Donald J. Trump Foundation.[SUP][6][/SUP] In 2020, The New York Times published an exposé detailing Project Veritas' use of spies recruited by Erik Prince, to infiltrate "Democratic congressional campaigns, labor organizations and other groups considered hostile to the Trump agenda". The Times piece notes O'Keefe's and Prince's close links to the Trump administration, and details contributions such as a $1 million transfer of funds from an undisclosed source to support their work. The findings were based in part on discovery documents in a case brought by the American Federation of Teachers, Michigan, which had been infiltrated by Project Veritas.[SUP][61][/SUP]

Shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, but who isn’t reporting in an agenda-driven way?

Who’s your source for reliable, balanced reporting then?

Fox's Hannity interviewed the head of Project Veritas tonight. He said there is more to come. Meanwhile CNN will not comment on it to any news sources left or right. Caught in the headlights. Fake News freddy!

Fox News owner has admitted to be biased against the left so what's the issue that many networks lean left. I watch both.

I wish somebody would interview Charlie, maybe faux could.

Who is he ? Do you really think he's got the "hot line" phone ? It's even red! lol So I'm to believe he's getting calls from the top of CNN to alter the network or control "the narrative" or whatever. OK sure. PT Barnum was right.

Or, I could think a tinder profile and secretly recorded tinder date is a good reliable source... but I don't.

I think it's possible, just maybe, guys put things not quite true on tinder and talk about things the date wants to hear when they're pursuing poon tang on tinder. just maybe

Who really got 3.5 million from Russia? Come on, I know you can do this. It wasn't Trump.

I think I understand how this works. If CNN makes up a story on Trump, or any perceived "right winger" or misleadingly pushes the left's radical agenda, then it's to be taken seriously, while the socialist sheep point and gasp, and collectively pee down their leg. If anyone on CNN is caught telling the truth about their misleading, yellow journalism, which really jibes and parallels with what they've reported, then it must be viewed with much skepticism. Perfectly clear.

More power to Project Veritas! Excellent targets. Maybe someone from wikipedia will also come forward with information on how that site has also become slanted.

I guess the luster has worn off CNN as well with the BLM crowd. A CNN crew was attacked yesterday at a protest/riot/looting experience extrordanaire. One of the support people took a full water bottle upside the head and went down like a sack of hammers. Older guy to boot.
