clutch quick clicker problem

I was riding Frisby last week and I lost a clicker out of my clutch. Obviously I didn't tighten it enough and it popped right out, both the blue anodized end and the bolt end. I noticed because I was all of sudden only pulling 7000 RPM. I rode it out and replaced the bolt and anodized clicker that night. Riding back up the next day it sounded a bit like something was rubbing or rattling and when I got to the top of Boulder I was only pulling 7000 again and there was no snap in the engine at all. I was on clicker 4 so I didn't even bother putting it to 6 because something is obviously wrong.

I'm going to pull the clutch tomorrow and look but does anyone have any idea of what may have gone wrong? The clicker only really holds the ramp up so it's not like anything should have broke from the clicker coming out unless something binded up inside on the ride down?
Any thoughts?

I quess you won't know until you disassemble the clutch and inspect. Without the clicker bolt in place there is no resistance for that arm so maybe something in there broke.

There is a washer that goes on the bolt on the inside of the clutch, it may be possible it is stuck in there and rattling around. I had quick clickers last season and after I blew a belt, it spun 2 of the 3 anodized clickers completely off but luckily the bolt stayed! I limped it to my truck and went back to the good ole nuts the clutch came with..no longer a big fan of the quick clickers. Good luck!

Thanks, I do remember the little washer now and will check. I'm thinking that something might have cracked inside but perhaps that little washer is what is making the rattling sound. good call.
