I have the manual but cannot find it, anyone know what the alignment specs (xyz) are??

Also how does one shim the secondary?? when doing this it shims it towards the chain case?

I wouldnt bother shimming. Ive tried various offsets with shimming and found no advantage. With the fixed secondary you can not be properly aligned through the entire shift pattern due to the progressive taper of the primary sheaves and the straight cut of the secondary sheaves. Doo has different specs every year with the same clutches, the best practice is either the old spec which puts things in proper alignment at mid shift or better yet, float the secondary with the DooDoctor kit.

my findings are different. had a 2008 that would eat at least one belte every ride. added 2 shims to the secondary and its been on the same belt for 2 seasons now.

If you were to go to DJ website - mxzx-revzone.com > there is an ski-doo bulltein on clutch alignment under his kit manual section - QRS alignment - gives procedure and alignment specs

I installed the skidoo floating kit and didnt put the shims in to let it slide, just doing that I've drop several degrees temp and can hold the clutches after a long pull. Next to the 2.5" it was by far the best cash value!
