So I picked up a 2008 Freestyle sled with 300km that has been sitting for 4 years
what are the things I should look for???
needed a new battery

whst is the best way to clean out the fuel lines & carbs
a guy recommended putting new jets in the carb to be sure they are not plugged

what else should I do????

Did you try to run it at all? Give it a pull and see what happens if you haven't.
Personally, I would drain all the old fuel and clean the carbs. You don't have to replace the jets per say, but if you stop at a welding shop and pick up set of tip cleaners, they can be used to clean out gummed up jets. A new set of spark plugs probably wouldn't hurt either.

Draining all of the old fuel out would be a must. Put some fresh fuel in with half a can of Seafoam. Start it up and let it run through. The stuff is amazing with the way it can freshen up a rough running sled. Also, make sure that no mice have made a home an any place that you are not aware of. I'm not sure where the sled sled had been sitting but them little rodents can make a home anywhere!

If you can and depending on difficulty I would pull the pipe and have a look at the pistons and jugs
