Chute to Thrill

Has any one heard about a Chute to Thrill hillclimb propsals.

They are saying they will be in Golden , Revelstoke, Barkerville and Blue River/Valemount areas.

Someone better discuss with the Revy club before they propose it for there. They almost lost their management agreement over the Big Iron Shootout a couple years ago.

It seems like revvy isn't a very sled freindly place anymore now that they have the new world class ski thing going on.. i know LOTS of people that wont go there to ride anymore due to the treatment that they got when they said that they were a sledder.. That is sad to hear..

me being one of them..... i rode Revy 1 day last year. I'll ride there again in March for the ride going on, but other than that, if I want to get treated like chit and pay through the nose, I can save the fuel costs and go see my ex!!!

The only price increase for this season at a hotel that I have heard of is $10.
Room availability will be a problem because of all the skiiers comming to town and we have been asking everyone to make their reservations right away for the season.
......and no I haven`t heard about this hill climb event.

them creeps at Timmys sure didn't like me a whole bunch.


I should have been a little clearer on costs....

comparing bases for riding, other areas are cheaper.
local businesses in revy are taking advantage..... add in 100+ a night rooms to the cost of fuel, extra driving to get there, sled costs..... it gets up there.

On top of it..... I don't much care for the crows. So I am not a big fan of riding from town.

Did I mention that the people at Timmys weren't very nice to me?

I can't book rooms ahead of time, because i know the day before I go usually when I can get away.

I just like riding other places better than Revy....

Oh ya.... there was an issue at the Rock Pit involving police and a beating, a couple broken glasses (couple hundred) and some disagreements with a few locals......

Used to ride there lots...... never felt welcome as a rider there.
I'm not one to scurry back to the room after a silent meal within walking distance of the room..... I enjoy alcohol. people pick you out pretty quick for why you are there....

I just feel a little more welcome in other towns.

I go everywhere, doesnt really matter, costs about 15 bucks a piece more for us to go there, pretty much a non issue. lol

I know what your saying I can go hide from the crowds around the Revy/Sicamous areas just the same. I can ride all day and never see another sled.

As far as issues at the rock pit and people picking you out of the crowd, well you should have that figured out by now.

Thanks you took the words right out of my mouth. Sounds like this guy is there for something other than the snow. All you need is tims in the morning, a great Zala's pizza and a hot shower. Maybe this guy should ride the crowsnest pass a couple of times if he wants to see hospitality, Yah right

maybe this calls for a good beating in revy to set things staight with the stick skiers and the power house sleders,who would win? guys who ski with 2 sticks or guys who muscule heavy sleds around all day and pay dearly for parts in town also repairs,plus all the other bs,skiers come up wth thier volkswagon with thier planks aboard not paying much in fuel,plus no repairs or min. and they dont sociolize in the bars like we do so wtf ???
