They want you to buy one.So whats up with 2020 cat price? way less then the the others?
I don’t really think there cheaper than before , just less warranty. So whats up with 2020 cat price? way less then the the others?
liquidation sale?
How many years on this platform? 7th front end by now lol?
id say its cheaper because it makes less power, less torque, has less warranty, is an extremely outdated chassis and overall an inferior product. Oh and its an 800 LOL
cant wait to watch all my cat friends destroy that single rail Hardcore. The 2 rails were the only things they didn't break this season
guys that own them sure like them though LOL

Just for a little reality check you should go to the Alpha thread and watch the 19 Doo get out pulled three in a row.
The superior Doo product was not lookin to superior.......just sayin
After watching the videos down a 40# of fireball - will clean those Doo toxins out of your system.
Or show up at Renshaw this Sat and we'll do a few side by side pulls...for fun.
is that how you cat guys determine what the best sled is? straight up pulls? scared of the bush eh? hey 1997 called they want their twin piped RMK back. actually that sled would probably give all these new ones a run on a straight pull LOL
put that alpha on edge in the deep bush in 3 feet of snow and report back. I suspect some very stuck alphas, some very tired owners and plenty of crow eating at the dinner table.
LOL
i actually dont have a comparable sled to the alpha at the moment so ill have to pass on your invite. 154 2.5" tracks dont hook well LOL

You main argument was stating the Cat was cheaper because of less power and less torque, wouldn't a straight up pull be the best way to judge those 2 facts.....
In my opinion...no. a snowmobile with less power and torque can be made to outpull on a straight climb. Gearing/clutching/ attack angle etc are all things that can aid in the result of a straight climb win. Old way of thinking. However riding the way we do now, the way those combinations come together are completely different. How the Engine responds in on/off throttle cycles, the way the chassis cuts the snow on an edge, the way the front end weight can be manipulated based on attack angle and torque are far more important for someone who doesn't pound the same hill all day. track speed recovery, engine response. all things very noticeable in the new 850 machines polaris/skidoo vs the OLD 800. Its a VERY sluggish machine in stock form if you spend any time on any of the new stock 850s and hop onto an Alpha. Its like getting on a SKIdoo XM sled after riding an 850 all day. Once was a great machine and you would never know any different until you spend time on the new 850 series sleds. If cat could get some comparable HP and torque numbers to the new 850s, update that chassis they would have a clear winner. They do have a more efficient drive train in my opinion ( rear of sled ) thinner track, larger rear wheels, larger drivers. that does translate into freeing up some power.
