Phoned Argyll the other day and they are no longer the dealer for Yeti. Anyone know why? Coopers motorsports has taken it on. What they like to deal with?

Not sure what happened to Argyll? There was only a couple guys there that seemed to give a hoot about it. Coopers had some changes too with a partnership breakup but not sure how the support is now? Riverside is also a dealer but have not heard great things there either. Are you looking for a complete kit or just some parts or tech support. PM me if you needs parts or info, I can help! Cheers.

Yes coopers sells snow bike parts. Bought my bike from them and some after market parts. That part went good. We will see this fall when I go for warranty on the dts kit how good they are to deal with. One of the limiter straps came loose.

Hey Bernoff, coopers was starting to really make some traction for being a great resource for snowbikes with a employee that has passion for the sport and knows his products. I have dealt with them since that fall out and they have been good but I will definitely miss dealing with their previous snowbike specialist.

I have one of his bikes just as that happened. I believe he also started a new company. 1sttrackmoto.com

Was it the rotors and calipers that were crappy on the early ones or just that they seemed to have air in lines once and a while?

materials wore out quick

the air was a Whole nother issue lol, thats why most kits come with a brake and master cylinder of their own now.

I did 3 years on my original brakes. Rotor just gave out end of last season so thought I would try it again. Last couple of model years they are a big improvement. The update for mine was pretty pricey. I just let other guys lead then I usually can tell when they disappear from my view somethings up. Lol

I installed the 2019 Yeti brake shields and PEMS mounting plates and it definitely helped. It almost completely encapsulates the rotor to keep it from packing full of ice and snow. it was a bit of a battle getting them installed in there properly.

The 2020 Yeti has a similar setup but its even a better sealed setup which is likely why they work well. The 2020 also has a Hayes pre-bled setup which helps.
The original 2016 Yeti caliper was better than the update in my opinion. The update caliper has seal issues and allowed air in so you would eventually loose your lever. With the original caliper if you could manage to bleed all the air out and fill the master reservoir up entirely it lasted pretty well.

An old guy told me to whack the lever with a 2x4 a few times... Ever feel how tight your brakes are after a good wipeout? makes sense to me

Pump the lever until there is pressure and hold it and then put a zap strap around the lever to hold the pressure and leave overnight. In a pinch this will usually get you brakes for your next ride.

Sheeeiit I thought it was just me having a hell of a time bleeding brakes - no other car truck sled or bike has given me the amount of grief that the Yeti did. Ended up doing a reverse bleed followed by a forward bleed to get a decent lever feel out of it.. LOL

Is that what broke rotors was ice buildup?
