I did a search here onsite, and found this thread https://www.snowandmud.com/forum/f76/chain-link-fence-31120.html?highlight=chainlink Which works good for all in the North ;)

I honestly hate fence's, but after buying a pup last week. I would like to give him more room, than just a kennel. So I measured out today 376 L.F. of fence, which will include 4-4' gates, and 1-8' gate. I would be looking at doing it myself, with maybe a few beer and bbq's parties :beerchug:

I have looked online today, but no one offer's price's. So I know I'll have to do some calling around, but also would like to know if there is anyone here in the South. That may do it for a living, and could help a guy out with pricing?

Thanks in advance   :D

If I was ready now to upgrade mine I would give you my old stuff. I want to go taller but cant afford to do it right now. Removing the old hot tub and rebuilding the deck is underway right now.

It cost me about 1000$ to do 150 LF
sounds about right, cost me 2K for all the materials to do 300' of 60" fencing through UFA (2-48" gates). not including concrete, mixer and post hole digger rental.

So for me to guesstimate, I'll be around 3G's??? Maybe I'll consider going a little smaller. Lol

yeah, I'd say you would be around the 3K or better mark. especially with a lot of gates, means you will need a lot of corner posts and the pre built gates add up too.

Now thinking about it, I could drop 2-4' gate's and get down to 332 LF.
I was thinking of going 117x83x2 which would have totally encapsulated my house. Maybe I'll go to the front corner of the walk downstairs railing and to the back of the deck.

Going from the left tree line, to about 5' off of the right side of the house which would be 78' and back to my line at 117' ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336956617.536549.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336956631.482119.jpg

Thanks Tee, I am going to consider that. Dropping a G-note would help.

Looks like you will need a surveyor. I might know a guy. LOL

If you find that a good surveyor might be in the Calgary area, somewhat soon. Send me a PM, and I'll make sure he isn't thirsty or hungry!!! :D

Just a heads up. Get a underground service locate prior to digging any holes. Suprises suck!!

Yes. That way if they are off, it's still your fault. Hah. Good to do, just sucks you can't trust them a lot of times. They were off 10 feet once and drilled through a major power line.

Looks like there is a nice tree in the back to chain the dog to, Save a whole bunch of cash. Or better yet, put up a clothesline from the deck to the back of the yard, clip a long lead to the clothesline and the dog has the run of the yard with much less chance of getting wrapped around stuff. Makes it hard to get away from coyotes though.
