Roll it on its side if you dont want to lose the oil but the only way I can see the oil getting to the other side is like Maxwell said the plastic plug on the drive shaft. Maybe something is bouncing around in your chain case and wrecked the plug? Might be worth a peek.

Purposely pulled the chaincase cover off to change the oil a couple weeks ago and also to inspect everything, it all was good just adjusted the chain slightly. The black plug was intact but obviously leaking slightly. Guess i know what i`m doing this weekend ! Thanks for the info guys :D I might have overfilled the case as i had the ass elevated quite a bit, " if " it had a leak before then now it would be more apparent.

Disc brake is on the left, chaincase on the right Pretty hard to get chaincase oil out of your disc brake. Probably brake fluid if that were it's leaking and the usual cause for that is someone left the parking brake on cooked the rotor and caliper seals.

If the plastic plugs on both ends of the driveshaft are compromised in any way, chain case oil can flow to the brake side as the shaft is hollow.

I just had new drivers pressed on and a little bit of chaincase fluid was trapped in the shaft. The seals looked fine though. Is this normal? I could replace the o-rings but they look like new.

Some shops drill into the shaft plug then install a puller to remove it. I've remove those plugs lots of times on he same shaft without replacing the seal and never had a problem yet. But they are cheap may as well replace them. I've never actually looked to see if chain case fluid was leaking past.....hmmm

Changed the chaincase plug at work today, had a 1/4 " hole right in the middle as if it was drilled out. She`s good to go again now, and thanks for the ideas that were offered.
