A group of us (5-7 units) are heading out for July long west of Caroline. None of us have been in that area before so any advice on camping and quadding areas would be greatly appreciated. How is the quadding in that area?
Thanks,

Al

get yourself a fluz zone map, so you know areas to quad in west of the forest trunk road if you go that far out. lots of areas to ride in, lots of mud with all the rain. bring rain gear. fluz map at forestry office, bike shops and online at forestry web site. some areas off limits and have time closures. hummingbird is a nice ride, not a lot of mud, opens july 1.

I'm going to be riding in this area this upcoming Sept Long weekend, random camping. I've ridden in the Rocky area by the OutWest RV Park, i'm assuming the riding is similar? Fairly good? I'm on a dirt bike so I suspect it will get interesting just like Rocky area did :)

i have heard the c/o's and clearwater county peace officers are really cracking down on this area so make sure you are all legal as they are ticketing people for riding in the ditches or crossing the paved roads in the area so camp where you plan to ride

I have no idea where we are camping, I am going out with other people who have a spot picked out so I'm assuming it is near trails. I am fully legal, besides headlights/taillights and all that crap. I am pretty cautious nowadays though, i've had my share of fines.

I know this is an older post but we go out to caroline area 3 to 4 times a summer. Best quadding around. Limestone mountain is a great ride, more fun on the lower end than the mountain climb but great view up top. There's just so many trails there we love it..Alot of people park/camp at the caroline snowmobile association area, we camp by the clearwater bridge.
