Hey, we all know that we make some pretty stupid decisions on the hill soetimes. i know i do every once and a while and usually end up paying for it with either my body or money from my pocket. So i would like to hear some of the funny and or other stupid things that some of you have done. wheather it was impressing a girl trying to look good, then consiquently ending up crashing into a tree, or whatever...

Let me start out by sharing a little story of Father Son bonding haha.

Last season dad and i went out sledding in Gorman ( a place around Golden B.C.). It was an amazing day so we stopped for some lunch. i finished my tim hortans sandwich first so i decided while dad is still eating i would go out and play in the meadow for a bit. duting this time i had bin pulling some hooks in the powder and finding jumps to hit... Well i stumbled upon a pretty good jump so i began to hit it. My dad was finally finish eating and came and joined me. he tried it a few times and then pull off about 5 feet or so past the jump to take some pretty sweet action pictures for our sledding buddies who had ditched out for the weekend. Well i lined up perfect to the jump and was pretty excited, as the jump made me shoot up into the are making it a superb shot to take... i pinned the throttle and dashed towards the jump. I launched off the jump and noticed then that my dad had not moved as far as we thought the sled would land so i'm heading straight for him in mid air and theres nothing i can do, lucky i land 2 or so feet in front of him... the bad news is that its not enough space to stop in time and i slide right into his sled cracking the body pan right in half, pieces of plastic litter the snow and he chews me out for the rest of the ride home, he blames me for going of the jump too fast, but then i argue back knowing full well that it was his fault for stopping so close to the jump. the next weekend out after guilting me into buying him a new body pan he goes out and tries a nother jump that i'm doing pretty good on and this time i stand well away from him and he pinns it off the jump and runs himself right into a tree, once again cracking the body pan in half.... haha how ironic eh? i made sure to stand well away from him so he could not blame me for this one.:D

okay, I'll go......
We were sledding in Hasler in '01, my buddy (who is registered here as crashnburn) had just bought a brand new 800 Summit on the no down payment, no interest deal a little while before we went. He has a killer run going uphill and looks like he is going to make it over the cornice in the Bears' Den when he hits the kill switch. it was very steep at the top and his sled rolled for at least a quarter mile down the hill, shedding parts as it goes. we tried riding double up the hill to retrieve the parts (windshield, clutch cover, tool kit, aibox foam, etc.) but couldn't get close with 2 guys on one sled. so my other friend pulls up on his T-Cat, looks up the hill and says "I'm gonna get his parts, look out..." ?? so he blasts up the mountain up to the farthest away part, turns out and steps off his sled and lets it ghost down the hill! there is 6 of us sitting at the bottom, and here comes the T-Cat by itself. there had to be a thousand acres of land at the bottom where that kitty could've went, but it was coming straight for us!! crashnburns' sled is sitting there dead, airbox full of snow, the rest of us are firing up our sleds to get outta the way. my friend Dale had an A/C 600 Powder Special EFI and it started first pull, but the pipe was cold and when he gassed it, it died. the T-Cat missed crashnburns' sled by inches, and hit Dales' sled broadside at about mach 2 or so, shooting Dale straight up into the air about 15 feet and landing in the same spot uninjured, while the sleds did their thing. the T-Cat was heavily damaged, broken A arms, hood and bellypan. the PS 600 had a piece of molding broken off the side of the pan, and that was it!! Mike, the owner of the T-Cat, was pissed! "I told you guys to look out!!"
it's all funny now, and a great drinkin' story....lol.
