"A crackdown is finally coming on sponsored bloggers and influencers in Canada in the way of new rules that will require full disclosure of any paid endorsements or mentions of products and services.
The new guidelines, by Advertising Standards Canada, will come into effect by early 2017. They apply to bloggers and individuals who use social media—including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat—to talk up companies and their brands in exchange for remuneration of any kind.

“Endorsement or testimonials must disclose any material connection between the endorser, reviewer or influencer and the entity that makes a product or service available,” says Janet Feasby, vice-president of standards at ASC. “If there is a connection, it must be clearly and properly disclosed in proximity to the representation of the product.”

Doesn't he always say "Hi I'm Dave Norona backcountry expert for ski-doo" That would be stating he is working for ski-doo before each video.

Dave when are we going to hear about the new prefilter grille that keeps all the snow out of the sled. Thats not a performance part, why do I have to order it from extreme.. that's my only complaint, this thing rips 900miles same belt, but I don't know how to ride yet.

Dude you have a lot of time on your hands! The owner of the site has created these as sticky's, not me, i suggested a different category, he said this is the way he would like to do it. There is one easy way for you to see none of my stuff, yet you have not done it in many years, just put my stuff on ignore and you will never see it, seems you like it though!

My mom told me I have an expert opinion and IMO Dave is definitely and Expert! maybe "Ski-Doo Product Expert" would be more appropriate. I like the product info and content you produce Dave and if no else is producing relevant content about products or the sport then what does it matter if it's sticky to a G4 ski-doo board forever if it's still relevant product info. Listen you say black I say white, just playing devils advocate, but someone tell me why we keep trying to beat up on Dave? is it because he's short or because the girls seem to like him.. I for one am jealous and just want a new pre-filter grille from ski with a red X on it.. so cool

At least it's all down in the ski-doo section, I think that's fair enough. It's fun to see all the new stuff! Maybe it could all be condensed into one or two threads in the sticky? I dunno. At the end of the day, the stickies aren't his work, that's the moderators. Whole place is probably due for a clean-up.

There are others that do this stuff too, they just don't come to small random forums. Dave's old school doing that, I appreciate that over these snapgram wanna-be pop-tart-stars who only ever do the facetweeting these days.

Would seem Dave you have at least one enemy behind a keyboard, I for one appreciate the work Dave does to promote outdoor sports not just BRP. He did me a solid two years ago and I am thankful for that. If you don’t like his stuff don’t assume others are with you in that opinion.

Would you like me to move this thread to the G4 section and make it a sticky :D
