Where do they get the power to run the brake lights. No power on the 20 amp fuse in the fuse box. Also because no brake light will not start in gear. Help please Thanks
I'm in the same boat glen. Haven't had time to look into it yet so hopefully someone chimes in. I thought it might be something to do with the sending unit on the brake line junction block

update on brake light problem....talked to dealer...told sorry 3 month warrant on parts purchased over the counter.for $65.00 plus gst,we will gladly sell you another sending unit.i said no thanks! i went to my tickle box and got the same sendding unit out of an old hyster forklift and installed it.ibrake lights work and outty will start in gear if you step on the brake.
o by the way....the hyster switch only costs $12.00
big difference for the same part....
Ya...you can get an Ehlin part from NAPA for 8 bucks or so. It's the brake light switch from a 68 Ford Falcon I believe....I have the PN at home. Takes all of 37 seconds to change it out. On #3 now.
