What are you guys doing in regards to clutching your 1000's for larger tires? Just looking to see what your set-ups are (clutch/tire size/ type of riding) I been doing a lot of research and seen that people are either going QSC primary and 650 helix on the secondary (unsure about springs with this route) or just the standard spring and weights clutch kit (like Dalton, EPI...etc).

Thanks!

The QSC primary with STM secondary combo is frigg'n crazy!!! ...if you're willing to drop the cash. You tell them what you're running and what size/make of tires and it will come pre-tuned for you. They also give you all the weights you need to tune the primary for just about any setup. I bought mine through Rapid Revolutions.

What is a rage 6 primary and secondary worth now?
Someone told me $3800.00 - 4 ?
Good stuff but getting pricey.
Have that set up on my Maverick.

I bought mine over two years ago. At the time it cost me about $3k for the pair from Rapid Revolutions.

Thats what I've been seeing as I skim through the forums, nobody has any qualms about the QSC set-up. I guess I have a bit of time to figure it all out and start saving, last I heard Rapid is changing locations. Not sure of the latest on that but I should give 'em a call and at least get a quote. The factory clutch already has some insane pick-up on these quads all stock. I can't imagine it being turned up further

Full aftermarket clutches are the best upgrade you can do to a canned ham. Ran a QSC/STM combo on my outlander and now running them on my Mav as well. Running a clutch kit in factory clutches is a waste of $$. If memory serves me correct it's around $2400 for the combo. I bought my last set from Madmack motorsports.

I should mention that the QSC primary is what really makes the big difference. The belt drops way lower than with the stock setup, so you get crazy low end power. The STM secondary is nice to have for even consistent engine breaking and it helps gear you down to keep you power up as you start to bog down. I didn't notice a huge difference when I put the STM on but I only ever went for one ride with my stock secondary and saw no mud (lots of hills though) that weekend. ...installed the QSC first and the STM before the next ride so I could experience the effects of each individually.
