Wow can you imagine if that was the lead cause of all the failures!!!! Simple coolant cap

Well a mechanic in kelowna told my bro that he had a head gasket gone on his ford explorer so he change the engine and the same thing happend again it was the rad cap the whole time real expensive rad in the end

I dunno.. thousands upon tens of thousands of people would have seen coolant spewing out of the cap all the time...you would also see the overheat light go off constantly, no?

This guy is such a goofball but has some very good points... every year or even earlier I replace my rad cap on my rig.... Not because of this video or this guy and his whole series.... BUT because ALL rad caps have an expiry date.... PREVENTATIVE maintenance is all it takes to keep a motor running at optimum performance for the life time that you own it....

All rad caps have springs, and all caps are susceptible to high heat and pressure.... Spring tension is going to be a factor in all these...

Not necessarily. If the cap is bunk the coolant can be boiling at 225*F and the overheat warning doesn't come on till say 235*F or 240*F, you're not going to get any lights going off on the dash until that temp is reached.
