Calgary riding??

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to Calgary...and even newer to the hobby ( Just got my first quad last week )

Can anyone suggest some good riding spots to check out? Ideally within an hour or so of Calgary.

I went to McLean creek with a buddy a few days ago, and that was fun.

Bonus points if the suggested area is newbie friendly

Waiparous or Ghost is north of Cochrane.

Northwest of Cochrane off cowboy trail.. Few spots you can ride up in that area.. If you spend enough time out at Mclean you can ride loops and trails for 50+km's. Found it to be one of the better areas in terms of variety b/c of the large land base.. Lot's of friendly folks in the staging areas to ride with, just ask to tag along..

What kind of quad did you buy?

I liked McLean creek, didn't really go in too far since it was my first time out there. Didn't want to get lost haha
