Anyone have any experience with the buckets you can mount on the front of your quads?? The one I have been looking at is made by Quadivator. It mounts similar to the plows but something tells me that it may not work as good as they say it does.....I have three main things I need to move; manure, snow & dirt/gravel. Other than snow, the blade is useless so I was looking for an economic solution when I found these....

I wouldn't do it. The bucket and frame is more than the front of your quad can handle, let alone the gravel going into it. I would think you will hail out the front end in a very short time. I would think that it would put a lot of stress on everything else, like the frame, front diff, u joints, etc. Quads are designed to haul beverages from the truck to the middle of the forest, not take the place of a Bobcat. Just my 2cents.

lol..."haul beverages from the truck to the forest" that's priceless...lol...I like it.

You make a good point...this is where I am struggling...can't afford a bobcat and finding a decent priced 4x4 tractor is nearly impossible....I thought that the front end may take a beating and that once you loaded whatever you have into the bucket....then what....that is pretty heavy sh!t (no pun intended) for the front end of your quad....plus I was thinking that it would be impossible to make a pile more than a foot high because of the height restrictions when pulling the bucket up with your winch.....never mind the winch problems I have been having (explained in another post)....

Thanks man...:d

have you thought of building a dump trailer. Would still require manual labour to load but will not wreck your quad....

there is a guy from around here that built a trailer to go behind the quad that is like a clam dump gravel trailer! i have not seen it but hear it works awsome! they use it to do trail work around rocky. i cant see it being much more than a cubic yard or so. if you want i can get his name and number. or just join the rest of us in the sxs world lol!
