Hey all, anyone know if tires 12" wide (for the backs) fit on a 2009 brute force 650i....

I have just 10 wide now at the back and noticed its close to the gas tank on the back right side, just wondering if 12 wide will rub against the tank?

someone here must know....thanks!!!!:beer::beer::beer:

My buddy runs ITP Plug Lites, 10's on the front and 12's on the rear mounted on stock rims on his 2007 650i.

Forgot to mention they are 26's

Cool, thanks

are those GBC gators you run, you like them? They look like they would go through some mud :beer:

Yes they are the GBC's, they are a great tire. Not the best mud tires out there but definitely the best for the price. I would take them of mud-lites or mud-bugs any day. I've never gotten stuck in the mud with them just have to make sure you run them at high PSI. They've never seemed rough to me, even though they are a real aggressive tread

I am running 29.5 Laws on the back and have no issues with the exhaust pipe or gas tank clearance and a buddy of mine has 27" mudbitches on stock rims on his 650i and he has had no issues either.

Mudbug and Gator are the exact same tire....

I wouldn't doubt that, I currently have 10" wide at the back and there is only 1" maybe little more between tank and tire. Think I will just stick to 11" wide at back and should be good!!!:beer:

Heres a question, if you got 27" high tires on 12 rims or 27" high tires on 14 rims, do you get the same ground clearance? you would think so....27 high is 27 high right?

He is looking at rim differences. Doesn't matter if the rim is 12 or 14" the clearance will be the same. The biggest difference is 14" gives less sidewall flex and would give better cornering.

Also with 14" rims there isn't a chance of getting rocks stuck between your rim and brakes and punching holes in your rims(had this happen once so far) The only issue I had with my 14" rims is with hard mudding you tend to hit the sides of ruts with force and it pops the tire off the bead easier.
