I recently bought a 2005 brute force and when it sitting idling it makes a noise on the left side tht sounds almost like bearings of some sort. The guy I bought it front said it was just the belt no big deal. That it's something brute forces do. Is this right? Is there something I should replace or will have to replace later? Just something I'm a little concerned with. Thanks

If its on the pull cord side its probably going to be s crank bearing

Belt cover is on the right hand side so if it's not coming from there then it something entirely different. If it is belt side and it squeals a bit at idle in gear that is a good thing..... The belt is properly adjusted then. Could always be the engine brake controller but again that is on the left hand side.

yep what he said. i would get it checked or see if you can get your money back (good luck) before you ride it. It could be something in the recoil as well but if it sounds like a bearing, its probably the crank.

I have the 2wd-4wd flashing back and forth every one second and was told in a forum that it's because of the engine brake actuator. I mid typed. I meant right side on belt housing. I apologize. So if I replace that actuators his notice should stop?

Depends what's wrong.

My shift fork for the engine brake is gone ( its on the end of that actuator).

If u have a clutch kit the belt brake kicks out at 5 kph cause the fork can't push the spring.

Plus I have been told by lots of guys from kawiriders that it pushing takes the thrust bearing out of the crank.

Alright that would make sense. This one has a clutch kit in it. I'm not a pro with all this (as you probably notice) but it was just a concern. Thanks a lot guys y'all are a huge help!
