Word is that it is pretty easy to get into Salmon right now. Relatively speaking, for Salmon.

Questions about Blue River.

Best Helicopter sled retrieval companies?

And which SAR club covers Blue River?

Just wanting to updating my emergency contact list. Pretty remote place so it got me thinking.

I imagine Helicopters are coming out of valemount or clearwater, probably $2500 min.
Doubt weigle would lift a sled out.
Good plan. Better to be proactive than reactive.

With the heli ski operations shut down, I dont think Weigle has any helicopters on Lease/contract at his Blue River location.

I beleive you are correct on locations for nearest helo locations.....

how was the trail after that?
When we came out of groundhog on Saturday it was a fresh groom on the way down, little whooped in a few spots on the way up but nothing to complain about.

We also saw a yellow and white Jet Ranger ish chopper fly by in the late afternoon while on the hill.

We saw them as well on Saturday near Horseshoe. I would guess it was a CO checking for sledding out of bounds.
