Split Second in Valleyview has had a 1300cc ish twin and a 2000cc tripple around for a few years now.

One of the Mechanics at Stojans (lives in Sexsmith) has built a couple 1200cc tripples and has been trying to run one in his XP drag sled for three years now.

I would like to have any of these (Brads included) big motors in my XP but...
I'll send you a PM later today, as you can see from posts on the first page I can't say chit on here with out getting my eyes poked out.

Cutler has a 1300cc twin too I think? Unless they stopped building it I haven't heard anything about how Ralphs ran, I know the 2 liter is running well.

Brad does amazing work and those motors will perform for sure, he definitely know's his stuff and is an amazing machinist.

Maxwell, is the 1650 being based off the WC bottom end? Brad is definitely the WC guru when it comes to these WC triples and after years of building the individual parts for them......I'm curious to know if he's building the whole motor now? If so that is sweet and they are definitely going to be performers, 250-280 HP day-to-day runners.

brad says he got bored of building the watercraft tripples and is no longer even making parts for them.

these motors are 100% built by him based off his design. he said this is 5 years in the making for him. and every peice he builds inhouse even the bottom ends.

he says it will fit in almost anything. although for the xp as it doesnt use a motor plate im not so sure how that would work other than having the cases custom machined. he also does not have a set price yet. i would think by the fall he will have firm pricing unless he wants to do more testing.

negative.... i wanna know if that 1650 will fit in a XP chassis.

It's great to want that huge power but I worry that the old XP chassis would fold up like a cheap tent with all that torque. People complain about XP belt issues when they have 150 HP, I can only imagine what that 1650CC would do.:d

Thanks Maxwell nice to know it might fit:beer::d

I would stay away from the 1650 don't like triples something about how hot the center cylinder runs:beer::d

Belt problems hmmmm problem has been solved for awhile now jackazz clutch alignment Helloooo.:d

Ralph from spilt second performance has done a similar venture. A year or two ago he got his twin cylinder 1300 built and also made a 2.0L triple. They were the same idea he built it all in house. It is amazing what some people are able to build. But like hagmanmod1 said they AINT cheap.

I doubt that this 1100 would fit in an XP chassis. First of all the motor sits so low, that the intake would have to be so contorted and would not get enough volume to produce power. Also the exhaust, Big motors need BIG pipes... Perhaps in an XR chassis...

Bored? or was it just no market.... I mean if you can't sell enough motors to fund the research, I guess it would be a waste of time. I am sure if it made a good profit, it wouldn't be so "boring". LOL
