my buddy les did an 827 on his 06 rev and he got his re mapped i think it changes the timing curve some what why don't you give glen a call at specialty sled he could answer all your questions. i think his sled is capable of higher revs now also

Does the CPU have to be re Mapped if i install a 860 big bore kit on a 2006 REV 800

The big bore that you would do on your '06 would be the 827.. You can only do the 860 kit on the '07 R motor and newer.. But yah it doesn't hurt to have the timing curve changed in the '06...

Sled Shed in Revy does an 860 Big Bore.My buddy has it on his 06 Rev.It does really well.He does not have his remaped but I know Al was working on something.Hope this helps

The problem with doing an 860 kit on the pre '07s is the fact that it makes the cylinder walls thin and susseptable to warpage.. There is more cylinder wall material on the '07 and newer motors as they are a monoblock set-up.. Just my opinion..
