Boulder mountain got alot of freezing rain Thursday night and there is a 1/4-1/2 inch layer of ice everywhere in the alpine. I would compare it to driving on glass as it would break into large ice shards as you drove over it or walked through it. We stopped at the top of a short knoll to have a bite to eat and could hear the ice sliding down the hill in front of us. Avy activity will be picking up big time the next time a big storm cycle comes through peeps. Be careful out there.
