this is what I have been using for the last 15 years or so, tandem tub trailer and 14' aluminum. have gotten into a lot of sweet fishing holes, works best with 2 people but have done solo trips without too much trouble.

This is how we also Roll...nothing beats an Actual boat for boating? On Kijiji you can pickup 14 footers for like around 500 bones, we leave them stashed sometimes and only have to pack gear and the motor in.

what about pontoons for the quad? seen some inflatable ones that go on quick. pump up from the power outlet and a cute little trolling motor that runs off it too.

buddy of mine got a good deal on a 13' zodiac, we thought that would be the shizznit....wrong. thing weighs a ton, unweildly to pack or carry, takes forever and a day to assemble and inflate, and slower than the second coming with a trolling motor. you need a 35+ hp motor to get it on plane, which means with a small motor there's no way to get the water out other than bailing or pulling it on shore to drain it. any kind of air leak and you need a booster pack and 12v pump to keep it inflated. the only good thing about the zodiac was that it was pretty comfy when you wanted to have a nap while fishing.

that must have been a pretty big and heavy zodiac.....i have driven/ridden on many with 9.9's on the back that palined out with 3 people n/p, as far as heavy and air leaks, and assembly, your right but i have never had a problem plaining one out......

back in somewhere remote inflatables are a bit of a liability i would think, too many problems can arise and they're a b!tch to row

Aquamarine Inflatable Boats - Inflatable boats with Aluminum floor

I bought the 11' from here last year. One thing I can tell you is that they are all constructed the same. There are 4 different brands in our fishing group, they are exactly the same, just different logos and prices. The only execption is a full on Zodiac, they also have a cheap version to, it is 1500.00 and the same construction as mine. I got mine for 780.00. I bought a 15hp 4 Stroke suzuki. It planes out with 3 people in it no problem. I have had 4 adults and 2 kids in it. The term portable is questionable, the floor is 100lbs and the boat is 150lbs and the motor is 100lbs. I ended up leaving it assembled most of the time and putting it in the back of my truck and towing the RV. The material is very durable, it endured some beer drinking, river floating excursions this summer and held up awesome. I am very happy with mine and would recomend it. Buy a small one 10' or less and it will be portable on a quad. I even put a few miles on it in Norman Lake looking for ling cod.

After going through hundreds of lifts of lumber (carpenter). I found an extremely light 2x12 which i built a boat out of. It weighed 30lbs, it was awesome the 3 times i used it. It got stolen.

Wouldn't go with a seaeagle. I had one thought it was a pig. Try looking at a seabright. Seabright marine is in Nova Scotia with free shipping in Canada. I love mine. Got the 12.5 ft. with a 20 hp four stroke. Kids could go tubing behind it lol.:beer:

I'm not sure if you are being facetious....just giving you the lowdown with boats that I have experience with, using a quad to get them to remote lakes.

this one was a 13', flat bottom. there are several aluminum plates that make up the floor, and no hull shape. the HP rating on the transom stated 55 max. buddy had a 9.9 on it and it just plowed thru the water with 2 of us in it. took my 15hp merc and tried it on the back, same story.
