go to canadian tire or napa and get a gates xtreme belt or something similar(including ultimaxes), and they have a 1 year warranty.......... I've shredded 10 or more belts in the last 4 or 5 years, and have always gotten a new belt within the 1 year warranty........................ If you got no luck with them, for a decent price, call me at my shop, or pm me.......

The high price tag is for the 3211115 belt that you could lift the titanic with... you don't really need it for the 800 big block. Down here in the U.S. the 1115 belt retails for $189, they are not cheap... Rather than going that route, I would recommend you ask for the 3211080 belt. The 080 belt is what was run for many years prior to the 1115 which was created to stand up to the monster torque and heat produced by the 900 motors. I have about 1300 miles on one of my 080s and still keep it on the sled as a back up, I have not had a problem with the 080 belts on my 02 800 RMK. Last I checked the 3211080 Polaris belts were around $70 U.S.

That's my vote...:beer::beer:

Wouldn't recommend them for the Yami turbo's, they don't last. Haven't found anything that lasts as good as the 8DN Yamaha belt, and only replace it once a year anyway.

SLY is right. If you are running BOOST:d the yamaha belt is your best option. It can handle whatever you throw at it. As for anything else it' a coin toss. Try a few different brands and just make a mental note of the riding conditions that day. Sometimes it is not always the belt.

Good luck:beer:

ran a gates hp belt.....once! it blew apart in under a hundred miles. wrapped around my primary, took out the crank seal and cost me a $2200 motor job and they wouldnt warranty the belt. true story but thats just my experince. u pay alot for the top polaris belt but theres no doubt its a awsome belt. for a stock 800 u can get by wit the cheaper polaris belt and still get 1000+ miles if takn care of. been there.

Old, cheap belts can be just that. I try to order in just enough belts every year so that I run out. Belts do dry out after time. I also clean my belt regularly with soapy water and a scrub brush, as well as deglaze the clutch sheaves.
