08 m8 juyst turned my main steering shaft ( aluminium) into a U wheres the up grade

Should be able to upgrade to the 2010 one its little larger diameter.

had the same problem on mine, put a piece of 3/8" cold roll in the next one and havnt had an issue in 3yrs

Get a piece of tubing the same outside diameter, but thicker wall, and stronger.
Bend it the same shape as a stock one, but add length over stock if like most, you prefer the bars taller, that eliminates the riser block to.
cut the ends off your old stock post, and weld onto the new post you just made, paint it, and install..........cheap, strong, and custom to whatever length you like.
Lube the bottom ball socket while its out, they all seem dry and tend to get a bit rusty with age.
