I am in need of some help...

The belt on my 06 M7 is riding very low in the secondary, and I do not have a manual for this sled. I am assuming that the plastic ring has to do with the adjustment, but regardless of what I do with the ring (tighten or loosen) it does not seem to help. There are metal shims on the ring as well. There is a tool inthe tool kit that fits the ring and this is the only reason that I am convinced it is what I need to be doing, but nothing seems to work. I have a serious lag in the bottom end, it seems to be starting off in second gear. I have searched the internet for a manual and keep coming up dry...

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

On mine 2010 m8 it got metal shims in the tool kit u should have the same in your you should try the thicker shims, the bigger or more shims should go right behind your plastic ring on your secondary if that don't work i would put a new belt on,for good belt deflection left your sled up in the air until your rear of your sled is off the ground and if your track spin's around u got good belt deflection.

Could the secondary spring be worn out? If the spring has enough tension it should force the 2 sides closed and send the belt up to the top off the shieves when stopped

I am not sure...the sled is older 2006 but low miles and well taken care of...if its worn out, it isnt from use LOL only 1200 miles on the sled.

Tried new belt, and no difference...
