So i'm driving to work and coming up to a major intersection. I had the green light and the flashing green arrow for people wanting to make left had turns and stopped flashing and turned red. Now my light is still green to go through but for some reason i slow down and stop. Then i think wtf am i doing my light is green it was the light for turning that turned red. Then just as i realize this a truck blows through the red light doing about 70. Then it hits me if i did not stop i would have got t boned by that truck. I like to think it was my grandson Jordan who passed away last year watching over his grandpa.

I've been thinking about your post all day, since I read it this morning. People become so cynical and focus on so many negative things. I do too sometimes. I, for one, believe in Miracles. This being one of them. Situations like this remind all of us of our mortality, and what a precious gift life is.

So thankful you shared this.

Just for a different spin......

Being "brain dead" could have cost him his life, and perhaps several others, if that truck had been doing 70 behind him when he stopped at a green light.......

But I prefer to look at it the other way

Another thing to consider is the guy who ran the red might have focused on the x-traffic slowing and stopping incorrectly rather than looking at his light. Not defending him just an observation. Dangerous situation and glad it worked out fine.
