Sometimes you make me laugh till I have tears falling down my face Sean! I have thought about this for a while for sure. I'm lucky, I work at a dealership, and I am given a sled to ride for the season. My bosses are awesome and let me customize it. It's a luxury given to me by Polaris and Main Jet. Not going to mince words at all. I absolutely without a doubt would not be able to afford a new sled if I wasn't in this arrangement at work. Four Kids and a super tight budget make it impossible. If it weren't for my paid work days there are some weeks I wouldn't ride as putting food on the table, kids sports fees, medical stuff, Bills, rent.. oh ya.. real life eat up my budget pretty quick. That being said, I usually get a couple work rides per week. I actually sold my 08 M8 when finances got horrifically tight, then I was blessed to be offered the job at Main Jet. There have been ups and downs, but I feel like I'm in the position to make a difference and help out the industry and new riders. I enjoy doing the ladies rides, I enjoy writing, and I enjoy giving feedback to the manufacturers.
I really think that part of my Loyalty is being incredibly thankful for what I have. I can't even explain how much I love riding. Sledding is my absolute passion as far as activities go. Husband wife time, Family time, and now with the ladies rides, wonderful friend time. Snow absolutely fuels my entire family. We all Wooo hooooo when it falls. I am thankful to Polaris and Main Jet for keeping me on the snow for sure, and I Love riding it. I feel like I've learned more in the past 2 season's than I did on my entire time on the snow before I jumped on the pro. Part of it is Chassis, (please no one say flickable) and the other part is my husband teaching me how to ride properly. My super Sexy Snow stud is by far the biggest factor in my learning curve. Again, incredibly thankful. It helps he's on the same chassis, so he can tell me what my body needs to do.
It's all good, that is where my loyalty comes from.
I was total Cat girl from the time my kids were babies. I always dressed them in Cat clothes. I'll find the pick of Brookie (outback girl) in her cat clothes.

Not much in that article.....other than ride if you can before purchase. Alot of us just research and take a chance and hope for the best......alot of people are brand loyal and will ride and put up with whatever their manufacturer puts out.....as he says at the end.....back to square one.

The close minded brand loyal mentality on this forum kills me so I quite enjoyed the article. I Have owned a sled from all of the top four brands. Some were good some were bad but when I am looking to spend 14K on a new sled they need to impress me to get my money. I am going with the best sled regardless of the brand.

Brand loyalty basically breaks down as people trying to reinforce their purchase to themselves.

I have had a couple of lemons over the years too.......

Brand loyalty is a persons choice..... the best situation is to keep an open mind. I know lots of people who will drive or ride a lesser vehicle based on their own stubborness.....this only reinforces a manufacturers faith in their product. This is the reason the manufacturers of sleds, vehicles, etc must change to the conditions of the market.
Polaris fell out of favour with alot of people over the years and have only lately begun to draw customers back. Its a common cycle that happens.... Its hard to stay on top when you give others something to shoot for. Aggressive engineers and the adaptability to change are what drives certain manufacturers to stay near or at the top of the game..... rest on your laurels and it could be a while getting market share back.

My brand loyalty really boils down to dealer rather than brand. My shop has been awesome, so they get my hard earned $$$$$. Some may not agree but that is my reason, fix my stuff as soon as possible, give out demos when it's a big job, stuff like that keeps me going back. To start a new 20 year relationship seems like more work, the guys know us and how we ride. Loyalty goes both ways.

absolutely. That seems to carry a lot of weight. I was speaking with someone in the "Industry" today, so they didn't feel blindsided by my article coming out tomorrow. I really didn't pull punches. He absolutely agreed. Market share is a HUGE deal no matter which brand you are focusing on. People are saying they want New and Innovative... not dependable and trustworthy. So new fancy cutting edge seems to be pushed out.. probably faster than it should. I'm interested to see what peeps think. I truly believe we have more power than most think.

Oh come on I know it goes both ways but the point stands. What we think we want is not always the best for us. lol

Now I'll play... a longer track doesn't garrantee deeper satisfaction??? A newer model doesn't garrantee it will last longer???

HER DIARY

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird.
We had made plans to meet at a bar to have a drink.
I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I
thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late,
but he made no comment on it.

Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we
go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but
he didn't say much. I asked him what was wrong.
He said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that
he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had
nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.

On the way home, I told him that I loved him.
He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can't explain his
behavior. I don't know why he didn't say, 'I love you, too.'
When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely,
as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.
He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued
to seem distant and absent.

Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed.
About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. To my surprise,
he responded to my caress, and we made love. But I still
felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were
somewhere else. He fell asleep -I cried. I don't know
what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with
someone else. My life is a disaster.

but at least I got laid.
