There are lots of advocats here for avy training, and I fully support it, but remember to apply what you learned in the class room, to situations on the hill. I've watched lots of "seasoned" avy trained riders tag a hill in scary conditions, without using their brain to apply what they've learned in the classroom. Just because you've taken the training doesn't mean you know everything about avy's or that you are now "avalanche-proof". Thinking you know-it-all often leads to a cavalier/complacent attitude, oftentimes more dangerous.

If people really want to sled safe - Let's not just preach on the internet, let's apply what we've learned as well.

yes modman, i agree. the it will never happen to me or i can outrun it attiude will get you killed with the present snow conditions, it is sliding on it's own and being remote triggered. man there is 5 + ft sitting on the slopes, windloaded etc, sitting on an ice crust with depth hoar on top of that. not friggin good, the valleys are dangerous as this stuff is running full length taking out trees etc.

let the snow set up.
