Good video!
Lucky he stopped...

I saw this a while ago on skiinggolden.com.
I realize that most people on here aren’t into skiing at all....however...
The thyme of the website is based highly on backcountry snow conditions and I find it a good reference when traveling other areas adjacent to Kicking Horse Resort…..such a Gorman or Quartz.

Whoa, that was a doozy! :)
Wonder if it tore the power lines down or just shorted them out? Might have been a little bigger than they expected! :d:beer:

This one is good to watch because of the terrain trap.

8 minutes!!!! This just gets worse. I keep wanting to make it to the mountains but good grief. How is this stuff prevented. Mostly common sense I presume, but a few of these vids didn't look dangerous I guess.

I've brought down a few in my time in the hills but nothing that measures up to the vids that we just watched.

I wonder if he went out and got a beacon for the hound?

Here's a thought, lets say a slope ripped out and 3 of your friends are buried. Your dog also has a beacon. How bad would you feel if the first thing you dug out was your dog, and it cost your friends lives?

I mean, I love my dog, but if I were given the choice....

For the record, my dog LOVES ski touring. We race to the top (she wins) then we have a break, then we race to the bottom (I win). In the end, she never makes it more than ten minutes in the truck at the end of the day before she is fast asleep.

its a sin to say but i think i agree dogs can be replaced the freindship of that dog is lost but a new dog helps heal that loss
