My Commander came with sticker weights in the rims from the factory so I assume any tire shop can balance them. I've had the machine up to 120kph and it ran smoothly, recently tried high speed with the wheels full of snow and mud and couldn't get much above 70kph.

I would imagine you could use those beads to balance your tires.

not sure how the balancing of atv tires would work out? the problem i see is that without beadlock rims there is a real good chance of poping the beads, and then the balance would be useless. guess it depends on where and how you ride. mud riding may be a waste of money, but may work for gravelly type trail riding.

Experienced tire shop guy told me yesterday they do it quite often, they use adhesive weights , not exactly perfect results but he says it does make a difference. I get what you mean about mud building up but usually doesn't stay in the wheel itself especially with an open spoked rim. Hardpack trails are boring but if you have to ride em may as well make the machine run as smooth as it can. I'm gonna try it.

Try them out and see, is really all you can do, Should work for trail riding and gravel conditions. May even work for mud, let us know how they perform. O found out on another thread that 35 plus pounds of air in atv tires was the shizzle, never new that before.
Experimenting outside the box creates new riding opportunities

Every time I've every rode my machines. The rims are full of mud. Sounds like a complete waste of time and money. It'll work great until you hit the first mud hole

It may just do that, but depending on where he rides, who knows, can't be that expensive to try it out

Why are you wanting to balance. Are they shaking at high speeds. If they are I could guess Itp would be the brand. They all shake and are poorly made. Maxxis is the answer. Example. I had a raptor and the tires needed replacing. I wanted maxxis razor 2 but they were back ordered. So being impatient I bought Itp hole shots. On the pavement I could barely hold the bars in 5 th gear. I tried to take them back but the shop says my rims must be bent. I then went to another shop and ordered maxxis razors and waited a few weeks. I put them on and it was totally smooth all the way to 75 mph. 6 yrs later my mother in law is quading with us. She stopped on the hwy by cadomin and swears the front end is falling apart. I take her quad for a quick rip and inspection. Nothing wrong but Itp xtr tires. We went to camp and pulled a set of zillas of a friends quad. Took it for a rip and smooth as silk. I have other examples but that's enough typing on a phone.

Had hole shot on my banshee shook like crazy. Xtr's on my brute shook pretty bad but always thought it was mud. Both of those sets of tires would never hold air. But I got mega mayhems now and they seam really good don't shake and hold air.

Actually the tires on it are ITP tires, I didn't realize they might be worse than some other brands. Thanks .
