Go to princess auto and grab a pack of tire plugs for $4.99, push in, pull and and melt.

Tire plugs are the only way!!!!! I had a spike go through the sidewall of a quad tire up in the mine at Grand Cache and used a few to plug it,, the tire would leak a bit over time but those plugs lasted for 3 years of tours,,,,

I carry a pack of those things in everything I drive. can't beat them for punctures, especially if you're nowhere near a tire shop...on a long weekend. I have even used them on truck tires, they will definitely get you out of a pinch. there is still a plug in my quad tire, going on 3 yrs and still holding air....:d

just last year heading to sawn hills to camp with the tabneils on may long, on the 15km stretch of gravel I must have run over something and had 2 punctured tires on the fifth wheel trailer....of course only one spare. fixed them both with plugs, had them properly repaired when I got home.

piked up one of those 12 volt compressors, may take a while. will try some of that tire slime in the tire and a plug or two. was told that tire slime would not rot out tire or rim, will see. will have to take a few extra road pops, as the little compressor may take a while.
99summitx, now i see where the stories you tell come from, here i thought they were BS.:d:beer::beer::beer:

im a auto mechanic and work at a tire shop..... the can of puncture seal works in a pinch but the crap inside makes it so u can not buff a patch inside..... even with cleaner on the spot..... makes the rubber - glue - patch not stick.....

You may be suprised how well the little $20 compressors work. I have one in my quad box that I bought 6 or 7 years ago. We use it alot. It seems almost everytime we go out, somebody pops a bead. Run a ratchet strap around the outside of the tire, and it doesn't take long to set the bead and inflate the tire. I also bought one of those co2 cartridge thingys from crappy tire just incase the compressor gives up the ghost. The plugs from Princess Auto work great, we've used them lots with good results.

Compressor works great! And faster than you'd think. We generally have it out each trip for one reason or another, takes only a few minutes...so drink fast! :D

I have the cheapest Crappy Tire compressor with aligator clips I put on in my pack hooks to any battery and works awsome, filles them up fairly fast,I also always carry plugs the long goey type work best,Ive even used them to fill the hole when valve stem got ripped off, filled it with plugs then used the ball filler atachment (comes with compressor ) to fill tire, road all day on it,Id never leave home without them.

looks like your bud has done the either thing a few times already:d
the way you drive, you need a pit crew alright:beer: have had to put a bead back on a few times, mud everywhere, couldn't clean the rim or tire, but it held. after a few brewskies, things look a little better. :d:beer:

Dont use tireslime like said above it might patch the tire but its not repairable later on.

you cant buff the inside and make it stick to a 1 piece plug patch

at least if you use a cheap crappy plug that you light you can pull those fibers out later drill the hole out buff the inside and have a professional plug/patch 1 piece done on the tire later on.

I used to work in a tireshop as a teen and nothing pissed people off more than them hearing their 200$ tire cant be repaired because they shot that tireslime into it. and all they had was a nail puncture.
