Needing to replace 2 600 EFI Powder Special engines, one in a 98 and the other is an 01.

Anyone have some experience with the more reputable dealers. I would like to add a big bore kit to one of the engines for a little more performance.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

thanks.

If you want to go thru a dealer,Dons speed parts has a lot of older used motors .

Becarful on the 98 600 engine. That was the first year for that 600 engine and they were prone to busting the cranks ( weak cranks ). The 2001 has a 600 B engine and they upgraded the engine ( and crank ). D&D performance in Wainwright AB ( same as Don's Speed Parts ) has big bore kits for Cats

Intersting. I don't remember anything about cranks on the 98 600. There were lots of people with stator issues but there is an easy fix for that. There was also a piston update for that motor as the skirts were breaking. Had a 98 ZR 600 and it was one of my favourite sleds.....till I go the 800!!!:)

I didn't have a stator problem but I broke the crank and I took it to get fixed and they told me that when they order parts that the crack replacement is automatically updated. in 2000 AC still had the 600 but they refered to it as the 600 B engine because they had to stiffen the case and the crank
